WHY WE DO IT
To support people who are making things in LA and make it easy for anyone who wants to shop local to do so.
MY STORY
I was involved with the Etsy Street Team when I lived in NYC and it sparked a passion in me to embrace locally made goods and support the people who make them. When I knew I was moving to LA, I looked to see if a store like this existed here. Since it did not, I founded it.
WHY WE LOVE OUR NEIGHBORHOOD
The breadth and depth of creativity here is astounding.
THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE WE FACED
Taking the plunge into the unknown. You can research and do your homework but when all is said and done retail is a gamble. I am still making peace with the uncertainty of it all.
