OUR PURPOSE

Is sustainable fashion, made locally in Los Angeles to help redirect the climate crisis using good style.

WHY WE DO IT

It’s been a lifelong calling to create new styles which beautify the world we live in, both aesthetically and by creating impact towards healthier ecosystems.

MY STORY

Benedict and I fell in love immediately while I was visiting California. When I saw he was making large scale photographic prints for furniture textiles, I exclaimed, “I need to wear these prints!” From there we started to source recycled textiles, long before google had any results for such things. Once we had a few great samples and a focussed vision, I asked Benedict about what to name the company. He said, “Let’s sit down and name it together.” Before he could finish I cut him off and said, “Perfect! ‘Together’ it is!!”

WHY WE LOVE OUR NEIGHBORHOOD

The garment manufacturing community and resources in a 15 mile radius here in LA are bar none to any place in the world. I personally know every person who makes our clothing. This creates speed and flexibility in bringing new products to market much faster than the old fashioned, bloated manufacturing model. As we grow, it has been extremely rewarding and fulfilling to be creating jobs and work for people in our direct community. We owe the people of LA for our success.

THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE WE FACED

At first it was a tightrope balancing act of bootstrapping the business into profitability from scratch without ANY financial support. It felt like a running a years-long marathon where you also have to wrestle dragons off of your back the entire time. BUT, a wise man once told me, “The first days are the hardest days,” and he was right.
